Six Sigma

Six Sigma is a data-driven methodology for process improvement aimed at reducing defects to 3.4 per million opportunities (DPMO). It is based on the DMAIC framework: Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve, Control. Six Sigma uses statistical tools including control charts, DOE, and hypothesis testing. The term 'Six Sigma' refers to achieving a process capability (Cpk) of 2.0 or higher. Lean and Six Sigma are often combined as Lean Six Sigma.
